India lost their third T20 international with Australia by 12 runs. However India managed to win the series by 2-1.
The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bowl first. Australia got off to a tricky start losing skipper Aron Finch and Steve Smith early. But due to India’s poor performance in the field and mediocre bowling Wade and Maxwell managed to score half centuries and had a 90 run partnership between them. They managed to get to 186 runs in their twenty overs.
In reply India’s start went well. They only lost KL Rahul in the power play overs. Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli batted well and scored a 74 runs partnership among them. The problem were the middle overs where India lost three wickets in quick succession. In the end the score was too much to chase.
Swepson was awarded the man of the match for his impressive bowling and Hardik Pandya was awarded the man of the series.
The fight between the two powerhouses is tied at 1-1. Australia won the ODI series and India won the T20. All eyes will be on the test series which will begin from 17th Dec.
